For the purpose of attracting more international students and scholars to study and engage in scientific research in universities and colleges of Zhejiang Province, improving the level of international students and the quality of international education, as well as promoting international students' understanding of and friendship with Zhejiang, the Zhejiang Provincial Government established this scholarship program in 2009.

Type A Scholarship

Provides 30,000 RMB per person per year, primarily for master's and doctoral degree candidates

Type B Scholarship

Provides 20,000 RMB per person per year, primarily for bachelor's degree students

Provides 20,000 RMB per person per year, primarily for bachelor's degree students

Type C Scholarship

Provides 6,000 RMB per person per year, primarily for long-term foreign students who are excellent in both morals and academic studies

The Special Scholarship

Provides 20,000 RMB per person per year ,primarily for outstanding foreign students for countries along the "Belt and Road"

Eligibility criteria

Academic Excellence

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens

Applicants must have excellent academic performance

Qualifications

Degree Level	Education Criteria	Age requirement
Undergraduate	High School Certificate or equivalent	<=30
Master's	Bachelor's Degree or equivalent	<=35

Language proficiency

Proof of English language proficiency is required, with acceptable scores including:

Chinese-taught Programs

HSK Level 4 or above

English-taught Programs

TOEFL >=90
IELTS >=6.5
