Kathmandu, August 8, 2025 — WiseAdmit, Nepal’s fast-growing EdTech company, made a powerful appearance on Shark Tank Nepal last night, presenting its mission to revolutionize international student admissions and bring Nepalese youth back home with global knowledge.

The episode sparked nationwide conversation, as the WiseAdmit team shared how they’ve already helped thousands of students study abroad with transparency, efficiency, and guidance powered by AI.

What I liked about your pitch was the bigger dream of being a unicorn,” said Shark Anand Bagaria, acknowledging the bold vision of WiseAdmit.

The pitch focused on:

  • Connecting global universities with students from under privileged regions.
  • Empowering students with AI tools like WiseScore and AI Interviewer
  • Creating a future where Nepalese youth return with international exposure and help build Nepal

Though the team chose not to accept a deal, viewers were moved by the mission. Dr. Rupesh, who returned to Nepal after earning his PhD abroad, shared:

“We are dreaming along with you,” added Shark Saurabh Jyoti, showing belief in the company’s long-term impact

Why we didn't take the deal?

While the Sharks loved the mission and believed in the potential of WiseAdmit, here’s why we chose not to take the deal: || We Chose Not to Take the Deal. Here’s Why.

The Vision is Bigger Than the Valuation

WiseAdmit isn’t just a startup—it’s a movement to transform global education. The Sharks offered 15% equity for the original ask of ₹3.33 crore. That would mean giving away 3x more ownership than we initially intended. For a company growing rapidly across continents, that level of dilution (reduced) wasn’t aligned with our long-term vision.

Strategic Equity Matters

We counter-offered with 8% equity + 3% advisory shares to bring the Sharks onboard without compromising too much stake. We believe in smart capital bringing in investors who can offer advice, network, and support without giving up more than necessary. But the Sharks didn’t meet us there.

We’re Already Profitable & Growing Fast

WiseAdmit is already making revenue ($127K last year, projecting $500K this year), has strong unit economics, and a $3M lifetime value from just 3 university clients. We went for acceleration, not desperation.

We’re Playing the Long Game

Wiseadmit’s goal isn’t just funding—it’s building a global level Nepali company leading the future of education infrastructure. Taking the wrong deal today could mean compromising the company’s future tomorrow.

We’re Building for Ownership, Legacy, and Impact

The decisions we make today define the kind of company we become tomorrow. Protecting equity at this stage means protecting the ability to build long-term value for millions of students, our country, and the global education ecosystem.

“We didn’t say no to the Sharks. We said yes to our vision—and to building a global infrastructure company from Nepal, on our terms."

WiseAdmit’s pitch is now live on YouTube, where fans are flooding the comments with praise, calling the team “inspiring,” “visionary,” and “one of the best on the show.”
