About this program
This program was established in 1985 and officially began enrollment in 1988. In 2012, it was approved to offer a master's degree program in international trade, and by 2014, it started admitting international students at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels. Students in this major systematically master the fundamental theories of economics, international trade, and management, as well as the essential skills required for import and export business operations. They possess broad knowledge, an innovative spirit, creativity, and entrepreneurial qualities. Additionally, they understand the current situation and development trends of both domestic and international economic and trade sectors, and are familiar with the latest theoretical advancements and disciplinary developments. Students also master the laws, rules, and conventions commonly used in international trade, are well-versed in China’s national conditions, economic policies, laws, and regulations, and are proficient in computer applications and statistical analysis methods. Furthermore, they are fluent in Chinese and possess basic abilities in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation
