About this program
This MSc is a one‑year (full‑time) postgraduate degree (with also a “with Work Experience” variant) that trains you in advanced computer networking, cyber security, cloud and enterprise networking, digital forensics, penetration testing, network design and security infrastructure. You’ll study core topics such as network architectures and routing, switching, wireless networks, enterprise and cloud‑network security, digital forensics, penetration testing, cybercrime and cyber‑security management, combining theory with intensive hands‑on work in specialist networking and IT‑security labs. The degree is professionally accredited: on successful completion, you’re eligible for membership of British Computer Society (BCS), part‑qualifying for the status of Chartered IT Professional (CITP), and the program meets part of the UK professional engineering/IT‑educational standards under the Engineering Council (partial CEng/CITP status), which helps with recognition among employers and internationally. There is also a variant that includes work‑experience placement, which can give added practical exposure and improve employability after graduation.
