About
Anhui University was founded in Anqing, then the provincial capital, in 1928. It moved to Wuhu in 1949 and Hefei in 1956. In the process of college and department adjustment in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Anhui University has successively integrated some departments of Fudan University, Nanjing University, Jinling University, Jiangsu Normal University, Hefei Normal University and other universities, and merged Bank of Anhui School, Anhui Finance School and other universities at the turn of the century. Anhui University, affiliated to the People's Government of Anhui Province, is a provincial key comprehensive university jointly built by Anhui Province and the Ministry of Education.
