Ara Institute of Canterbury is a leading vocational education provider in New Zealand, offering a wide range of practical, industry-focused programs. Located primarily in Christchurch, with additional campuses in Timaru, Ashburton, and Oamaru, Ara serves a diverse student body, including domestic and international learners. Ara was formed in 2016 through the merger of Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology (CPIT) and Aoraki Polytechnic. This union strengthened its ability to deliver high-quality education tailored to workforce needs.
