Established in February 1950, Bohai University is a comprehensive institution under the administration of the Liaoning Provincial Government. As designated by the Ministry of Education of China, the university also serves as a training facility for international students awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship and the International Chinese Teacher Scholarship. The university has established 20 sub-level colleges which administer 53 undergraduate programs and 18 level-1 graduate programs. These programs cover economics, laws, education, humanities, history, philosophy, science, engineering, agriculture, management, arts, etc. In the 2021 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, Bohai University achieved recognition with four disciplines ranking within the top 500 worldwide in the first-class category. The university boasts impeccable infrastructure, including a library housing 2.93 million books and state-of-the-art equipment that adequately caters to the requirements of both teaching and scientific research.
