Capital Normal University was founded in 1954, formerly known as Beijing Normal University, and its school running history can be traced back to Tongzhou Normal University established in 1905; After 1960, some colleges and departments including North China Renmin University, Beijing Normal University of Industry and Agriculture, Beijing Normal University of Arts, and Beijing Normal College were merged successively; In 1992, the branch of Beijing Normal University was merged and renamed as Capital Normal University in the same year. Capital Normal University is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Beijing Municipal People's Government.
