About

Harbin University of Science and Technology (HUST), located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, is a provincial public university jointly supported by the Heilongjiang government and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. Formed in 1995 by merging three institutions and administered by the province since 1998, HUST focuses on engineering and science while also offering programs in management, economics, law, and humanities. It has four campuses covering over 1.27 million m², with more than 33,500 full-time students and around 2,700 faculty. The university offers 65 undergraduate majors, multiple master’s and doctoral programs, and participates in key national initiatives, including the “Characteristic Key Discipline Project” and the Ministry of Education’s “Outstanding Engineer Education Training Program,” while also welcoming international students under Chinese government scholarships.
