Founded in 1941, Linyi University is a comprehensive state-run university in Shandong Province. Currently, Linyi University has 24 schools and 2 branch campuses. It offers a total of 83 undergraduate programs which cover 11 scholarly disciplines. There are over 44,000 full-time students and more than 2,700 faculty members on campus now. Linyi university is the Master’s Degree Awarding university approved by the Ministry of Education and there are 1 authorized first class master's degree granting discipline (Chemistry) and 2 professional master graduate programs (education and engineering). Linyi University is a prestigious University with characteristics of applied talents training in Shandong province and a key construction university of “Integration of production and teaching” of National Development and Reform Commission of China. With an open policy, the university has established cooperative relationships with over 50 higher education institutions from different countries including the U.S.A., South Korea, France, Spain. There are 5 Sino-foreign joint educational programs and more than 30 foreign teachers on campus. Linyi University, jointly with Conakry University in Guinea, has set up the Confucius Institute. Complying with “the Belt and Road Initiative” of the national government and internationalization policy of the Linyi-trade city, the university takes more active actions in international communication.
