Wuxi University of Technology (WXUT), founded in March 1959 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, is a state-run higher vocational university focused on training skilled professionals for modern industries. Initially established as the Wuxi Agricultural Machinery Manufacturing School, it became Wuxi Vocational Institute of Technology in 2000 and started offering four-year undergraduate programs in 2012. WXUT has two campuses, Zhongqiao and Taihu, covering over 850 acres with 368,700 m² of building space, and a library holding 1.3 million books. The university comprises 14 schools, including the School of Mechanical Technology, School of Control Technology, School of Internet of Things Technology, and School of Automotive and Transportation, offering 48 majors, including six undergraduate programs focused on equipment manufacturing and emerging industries. WXUT is recognized for its high-level teaching teams, innovative programs, and strong contributions to vocational education, hosting two national-level professional teaching resource banks, numerous national and provincial-level quality courses, and publishing both the journal Mechanical Vocational Education and Journal of Wuxi Vocational and Technical College. The campus currently serves around 14,400 full-time students, including 2,900 international students. The average annual living cost for students is approximately RMB 18,000–30,000, excluding tuition and accommodation.
