About

Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL), located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, traces its origins to Zhongyuan University, founded in 1948. In 2000, Zhongnan University of Finance and Economics and Zhongnan Institute of Politics and Law merged to form the current ZUEL. The university is directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly supported by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the People’s Government of Hubei Province. ZUEL has a strong academic focus on economics, law, and management, while also offering programs in philosophy, literature, history, science, engineering, and the arts. It is a key university under Project 211, a participant in the “985 Project – Innovation Platform”, and is included in China’s Double First-Class initiative for developing world-class universities and disciplines. The university hosts a wide range of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, and is recognized nationally for its research and teaching excellence in finance, law, management, and related fields. It also maintains partnerships with universities and institutions worldwide, attracting international students and scholars.
